Where to begin! First of all, if you're an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fan like I am, this trailer will bring a smile to your face. Not only does it have Charlie Day doing the absurdist, physical comedy that he does best, there are some delightful cameos from Jimmi Simpson, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and Glenn Howerton. If you're not an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fan (which, what are you even doing?) don't worry, there's still plenty to love.
This trailer sets up a perfect conflict: Charlie Day's non-speaking, bumbling clown of a character- reminiscent of Charlie Chaplin's iconic Tramp- set against the fast-paced, cut-throat world and colorful characters of modern Los Angeles. Fool's Paradise looks different, daring, and, most of all, incredibly fun.
