BlackBerry: a tech-nically true story

I'll be the first to say that I'm a sucker for the "this is mostly a true story" genre that has quickly taken over the world of film. From the warped biopics of The Social Network and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, to wildly compelling, out-of-the-box portrayals of real-life history like Vice and The Big Short, there is something awe-inspiring about a movie that can teach you so much and keep you entertained while doing it.

That's my hope for this movie.

I was only a toddler when BlackBerry was at its height- I never owned one or, from my memory, even touched one, and yet this trailer makes me so interested to learn everything about them. Throw in Glenn Howerton as a sleazy exec and a bold departure from goofy comedies by Jay Baruchel and I'm in that theater- even if I have absolutely no clue what they're talking about.
